Prosecutors are investigating “new leads” about accused sex abuser Marilyn Manson – as they expect to decide “soon” whether the shock rocker will be charged.

The 55-year-old goth singer, whose real name is Brian Warner, has been under investigation for years over allegations of rape, sexual assault and torture by at least a dozen women, including his former fiancée, actor Evan Rachel Wood.

Yet specialized sex crimes prosecutors are still “carefully reviewing new leads and additional evidence that continues to come to our attention,” said Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón. said Wednesday in an update on the case.

“In recent weeks, new evidence has emerged, adding to an already extensive file presented to our office by police [Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department],” the DA said.

“It is our office’s responsibility to ensure that we have a complete view of the available admissible evidence before making a filing decision,” he added.

“We expect to make a filing decision shortly and will provide an update at that time.”

Senior staff from the district attorney’s office have met with the victims and remain in contact with them throughout the investigation, he said.

Despite requests from some victims to meet with Gascón in person, he said it would be “inappropriate” to do so until a charging decision is made. Afterward, “I look forward to meeting with the victims to discuss how my office can continue to support them,” the prosecutor said.

Authorities raided Manson’s West Hollywood home in 2021 after several women came forward accusing him of sexual abuse. His record label dropped him in response.

Manson has vehemently denied the allegations, although he has settled at least two such lawsuits.

“Game of Thrones” actor Esmé Bianco filed a lawsuit against Manson, claiming the rocker sexually, physically and emotionally abused her.

Manson deprived Bianco of food and sleep, locked her in a bedroom, beat her, gave her electric shocks and threatened to enter her room and rape her at night while they were dating in 2011, she alleged in a lawsuit from 2021.

Manson denied the allegations, calling Bianco’s claims “false” and “meritless” and suggesting that they are “a key component of a coordinated attack” by women who want to “dishonestly try to cash in on and promote the #MeToo movement.” to exploit.”
