As Americans prepare for the Easter holidays, many are concerned about rising inflation under the Biden administration as they shop for the festivities.
Trump SuperPAC’s new website allows consumers to compare grocery costs from Donald Trump’s time in office to current prices, highlighting the increase attributed to “Biden inflation.”
“Putting food on the table has become harder than ever thanks to ‘Bidenomics,’” says the Biden-Mart.com website. “As the cost of everyday items continues to rise, American families are increasingly struggling to pay the bill.”
The site allows users to check boxes related to items on their shopping list. The costs are calculated and can then be compared to the totals under Bidenflation-adjusted prices.
Some items, such as coffee, butter and eggs, have seen a modest price increase from 33% to 39%, while prices for vegetables such as aubergines, courgettes and carrots have risen as much as 48%.
Meanwhile, the numbers of apples, chicken thighs and various cuts of beef have increased by 80% to no less than 111%.
It is striking that prices for ice cream, a favorite of Biden, have increased by 56.4%.
“Every time you go grocery shopping, you are reminded of the failure of Binomics,” says Make America Great Again Inc. PAC Director Alex Pfeiffer told the daily email.
“Joe Biden’s inflation is robbing hardworking Americans of their money,” he added.
Americans’ failure to put food on the table has prompted people like Kellogg’s CEO Gary Pilnick to comment on the affordability of his company’s breakfast products, celebrating the idea that families are now turning to cereal at dinner to to cope with rising inflation.
The enormous and increasingly burdensome costs of virtually everything from groceries to utilities will become a critical voting issue in the run-up to the 2024 election.
