An outbreak of random violence broke out at night in the Metro, in which a criminal cut a man through an innocent bump and a gang of beams a man pummed during a robbery that only $ 15 yielded, the police said.
At about 4:30 Wednesday, a crowd of six thieves condemned a 38-year-old man in the mezzanine of the Canal Street N, Q and R-station.
The young suspects kicked and hit the victim, so he fell to the ground before the robbers left with his wallet with only $ 15, the authorities said.
The victim was brought to the Bellevue Hospital with a bloody cut on his head, according to the police and images of the stage.
The violent young people fled and have not yet been caught.
Hours earlier a 32-year-old man was on the J-train platform in Fulton Street and Alabama Avenue in Brownsville when he accidentally bumped into another man, Cops said.
The stranger took out and started waving a “sharp object”, causing the victim to cut his head and finger, the police said.
The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center with non-lifferring injuries.
The suspect left and no arrests were made.
The transits system of the city has so far seen a dip in crime attacks on the rails, with 101 attacks reported up to and including Sunday, compared to 117 during the same period in 2024, according to the latest data.
Miscoanor attacks, however, have been enriched, with 293 such crimes reported, compared to 274 in the same time last year, according to the statistics.
