CHICAGO – A man is recovering after a would-be robber bit off part of his ear while trying to steal his bicycle on Goose Island last night.

According to a Chicago police spokesperson, a 46-year-old man was in the 1100 block of West Division when the robber arrived around 5:06 p.m. and attempted to take his bicycle by force.
