The Galaxy Z Fold series has become synonymous with advanced folding technology.
Although it is not long ago that the launch of the Galaxy Z -Folding 6, there are rumors around the next input in the series – the Galaxy Z Fold 7 – are already expecting.
Although it is early in the development cycle, it suggests that the next folding of Samsung could be slimmer and larger, with considerable improvements across the board.
This is what we know so far.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 released?
The release cycle of Samsung for flagship machines is well established, with new Galaxy Z folding models that debut annually on the unpacked events of the company around the middle of each calendar year.
Luke Baker
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 was launched in 2024, so it is safe to assume that the Z Fold 7 will follow the example in 2025.
If the trends from the past hold, we can expect the Galaxy Z -Fold 7 to be revealed July or August 2025coincide with next year’s unpacked event.
How much does the Samsung Galaxy Z cost 7 cost?
Rumors prices for the Galaxy Z fold 7 are currently speculative, but looking at recent models can give us a reasonable estimate:
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like things are getting cheaper for the next generation. According to Leaker Pandaflash on X, both the Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 will have the same prices as their predecessors in “most markets”.
That will probably include the UK and the US, so you probably still have to pay almost £ 2,000/$ 2,000 or even more for the device. This can of course prove to be incorrect and there can be considerable price reductions, but that seems unlikely.

As soon as the telephone has been officially announced, it will probably be available for pre-order immediately after the unpacked event, just like earlier models, with a date of a sale 1-2 weeks later.
What specifications and functions does the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 have?
Although we are still far from an official specification sheet, early rumors offer an exciting look at what the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could offer.
Samsung seems focused on creating a slimmer, more lightweight device without jeopardizing screen size or performance.
A second model?
Samsung seems to be planning two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for release next year, according to a report from a Dutch Galaxy Club.
Three code names for upcoming folding things have been revealed: ‘B7’ for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, ‘Q7’ for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and ‘Q7M’ for a non -spirited foldable.
The code name ‘Q7’ is in line with the Samsung Convention for its folding series, which suggests that both Q7 and Q7m are part of the folding setup. However, the ‘m’ in Q7m remains a mystery.

Luke Baker
Usually the special edition phones from Samsung include an ‘A’ suffix, seen with the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition coded as ‘Q6A’.
The absence of this ‘A’ indication evokes the possibility that the Q7M can be a different model, for example the Galaxy Z Fold Fe, a more budget-friendly version of the folding series.
Design
One of the striking rumors (via Korea Economic Daily) is that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be thinner and lighter than its predecessors. This report suggested that the fold 7 would be about the same thickness as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is only 8.6 mm thick.
Leaked CAD views published by Android Headlines seem to confirm this. The Galaxy Z fold 7 will supposedly simply measure 4.5 mm thick when unfoldingAnd 9.5 mm when folded – Potential fall to closer to 9 mm If you do not absorb the camera culture. This would make it the slankest Galaxy Fold so far, even along the 10.6 mm folded thickness of the fold of the Fold Special Edition.
This corresponds to a rather rumor from KRO on X, who suggested that the Fold 7 would beat the special edition in terms of thinness. As with all cad -based leaks, some physical elements can change into the end product, but the wide strokes seem to be accurate.
It is a bit thicker than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but not much. This would be an important achievement, since the Z folds 6 out of 12.1 mm when it is folded.

At the end of August, Honor Samsung teased when it promoted the Magic V3, which is much slimmer at 9.2 mm.
Samsung has a history of slimming its folding things, and the Z -fold 7 can continue that trend, while the phone maintains its durability despite a thinner profile.
Despite the weight loss, do not expect large design changes. Pandablash claims that Samsung will keep the flat frame and the camera rings of the fold 6.
Reproduction
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 can contain a larger display, with rumors (via Ked Global) that indicate an inner-dressable screen that extends to 8 inches, higher than the main panel of the Z-fold 6.6-inch. This would make it one of the largest folding screens on the market (despite the partner of Huawei’s Mate XT).
This is largely reflected by leaked CADs from the renowned Android heads. They suggest that the inner screen can increase 8.2 Inchesand the cover screen 6.5 inches. That has risen somewhat from the 7.6-inch inner panel of the Z-fold 6.
According to a report from Sammobile, Samsung can also use blue phosphorescent OLED technology (Pholed), which can make a clearer display possible while they use less power. This change can contribute to the slimmer design of the device by reducing the battery size without sacrificing the screen quality or a long service life.
Pandables adds that Samsung will use “very efficient” displays, which contributes to a boost in the lifetime of the batteries – 55 minutes longer In internal tests compared to the fold 6. This would help to compensate for the 4400 mAh battery, which is expected to return unchanged.
S Pen Pen
According to the ELEC, Samsung Display is said to develop a technology to make S-input without a digitiser, who could eliminate the assessment between a slim design and stylus support in future folding devices.
If it is successful, this innovation could retain the fold on the Milky Way to maintain both functions without jeopardizing the thickness. However, no timeline for mass production has been confirmed.
But according to KRO on X, the slimmer form factor Samsung forced to scale back some s -pen functions, although it is not yet clear which one. The S pen for the Z Fold series Al Bluetooth misses, in contrast to the S Pen Pro, and this trend can continue or even expand.
Interestingly, Pandaflash suggests that a new, thicker S -pen in addition to the Fold 7 can launch, possibly with an improved tip for a better writing experience. Samsung is not limited by an internal slot that can give them freedom in pen design.
Performance
There was rather some confusion about the chipset, but it now seems that the Galaxy Z will fold 7 Indeed use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite for Galaxy”According to a leak of the highly regarded Pandaflash. This is in line with the history of Samsung about the use of top-snapdragon chips in his folding bone in book style. The Exynos 2500 now looks for the Flip 7 and Flip FE models.
A rather rumor (via Gsmarena) suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chipset, instead of one of the best Snapdragon cars from Qualcomm, who have traditionally driven the pleat of the company.
As IDC analyst Brian MA said in an X -post, Samsung wants to secure “Design profits for mobile models that are planned for release in 2h” with the Exynos 2500, but it seems that this will no longer appear in the Fold 7.
Pandables has previously suggested that the Z Fold 7 12 GB RAM offers over all models, in addition to options for 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB internal storage.
Cameras
Camera specifications for the Z -fold 7 remain speculative, but we can expect improvements across the board based on the track record of Samsung.
The biggest change can be in the form of a new one 200MP main cameraAccording to Galaxyclub. This would mark a large jump of the 50MP sensor on the fold 6 and bring the fold 7 in line with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The 12MP Ultrawide and 10MP Telefoto lenses are expected to return, but the under-display camera on the inner screen will also get an upgrade, according to the same report. It is unclear whether that includes a higher number of megapixels, but an improved sensor for better lighting seems likely. The outer camera on the front is expected to stay at 10MP.

Luke Baker
The setup of the T-folding 6 was already impressive, with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. It is likely that the Z Fold will yield 7 other incremental upgrades, which may add new sensor technology or improvements in AI-driven photography functions.
Expect improvements in performance with little light, so-called and possibly an improved under-display camera, for an uninterrupted viewing experience on the inner screen.
Battery and charging
A thinner device often calls concern about battery capacity, but Samsung could limit this with more powerful components, such as the aforementioned rumors of rumors.
Early reports (via LifeWire) suggest that Samsung can use a smaller battery without sacrificing the battery life. But now it seems that the fold 7 will use the same battery as the Galaxy Z fold 6.

Luke Baker
The Z Fold 6 has a 4400 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15 W wireless charging, so at least expects that as a basic line on the fold 7.
Howeve, it seems that we will see some other improvements. As confirmed by the Chinese 3C certification database and reported by MyFixGuide, it will Charging a wired 25W supportJust like his predecessor. No signs of the long-awaited 45W upgrade in cheaper Samsung models that it is now offering.
Software
By the time the Z Fold 7 is launched, it will probably be performed on Android 15, dressed with Samsung’s own One UI 7 experience at the top.
Leaking suggest that the foldable specific version of one onion 7 will be a huge overhaul compared to previous versions. Expect a redesigned user interface with new icons, animations and improved multitasking options, tailored to folding devices.
A vertical app -drawer and other onion -tweaks can make the experience in Z -fold 7 feel, which improves the productivity of users with the larger screen.
