State Troops on Thursday has raided an organic farm in Pennsylvania that specializes in selling raw milk, organic eggs, grass-fed beef and other nutritious foods to private buyers.
Footage from Bird-in-Hand, filmed by The Lancaster Patriot’s Chris Hume, shows state agents executing a search warrant and seizing produce at Millers Organic Farm, owned by Amish farmer Amos Miller.
As reported by Hume at a GoFundMe page established in support of the Millers: “Under the watchful eye of Pennsylvania State Troopers and the support of a search warrant, state agents entered Amos’ property, spent hours on his premises, and then removed some of his products. They ban Amos from selling the remaining products, effectively shutting down his business until further notice.
Hume provided updates from the crime scene as the raid was conducted. Reporting agents did not allow Miller to be present while they searched his company’s belongings.
While no precise reason has been given for the latest raid, Miller’s all-natural farm, which sells only to people in the private membership organization, has come under scrutiny from state and federal agencies in recent years for operating outside agricultural regulations.
For example, the Millers don’t pasteurize their raw milk, inject their animals with vaccines or other chemicals, or use fertilizers to grow crops.
“The farm raises its animals and other pure foods as nature intended and we are proud to be completely chemical, cruelty-free and GMO-free,” according to Miller’s website.
“The animals are born and raised without antibiotics or hormones and spend their entire lives naturally and stress-free in the pasture. All the farm’s food is traceable, pure and grown in nutrient-rich soil, using traditional, time-honored methods.”
Raw milk from Millers Organic Farm was blamed for a… listeria outbreak in 2014 causing one person in California and another in Florida to become ill, with the latter supposedly dying from the disease.
Molenaar was the same targeted by the USDA for slaughtering livestock without proper federal permits and inspections, leading to Fines and threats of imprisonment.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) on X Thursday criticized the state for looting the farm, writing: “With all the problems in today’s society, is this what the government wants to focus on? A man who grows food for informed customers, without participating in the meat/milk industrial complex?” and added: “It’s a shame it has come to this.”
The case is being closely watched by activists concerned about government overreach and its interference in transactions between sellers of nutritious raw food and private buyers.
The Pennsylvania State Police did not respond to Infowars’ request for comment as of press time.
