Massive protests have erupted across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East in support of Palestine in response to Israel’s military response in Gaza following Hamas’ terrorist attack on the country on October 7, which left more than 1,400 dead.
International condemnation increased in the wake of reports that civilian casualties in Gaza had surpassed 10,000 as a result of apparently deliberate bombing and its humanitarian blockade, prompting the UN to adopt a resolution with the support of 120 countries, which urged an immediate and lasting “humanitarian ceasefire.”
Israel recently contacted former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to become its “humanitarian coordinator” in Gaza to “improve the humanitarian situation within the Palestinian enclave and reduce international pressure,” according to the Times of Israel.
