BONKERS conspiracy theorists are convinced time travel is a real thing after spotting an Elvis Presley fan holding a mobile phone at his last concert.
Footage from the 1977 performance shows fans going wild for the King of Rock ‘n Roll as he appears on stage in his iconic white jumpsuit.
A group of women can be seen excitedly reaching for Elvis as he throws his towel into the crowd.
Amid the chaos and commotion, a mysterious hand can be seen holding up a rectangular metal object that looks suspiciously like a cell phone.
And conspiracy theorists have wildly claimed it’s a modern smartphone – and therefore proof that a quantum leap had infiltrated the gig more than 50 years ago.
Many pointed out the supposed similarities between the camera on the top left of the object and the snapper on a 21st century iPhone.
One person said: “It definitely looks a lot like one of today’s phone cameras.
“I’m not sure what technology was there at the time, but it could be similar.”
A second wrote: “Wow, I’ve watched this clip fifty times and never saw it – that device didn’t exist in 1977, that’s for sure!!”
A third said: “I lived in those days and we didn’t have anything like that back then.
“The item even has a camera area like a current iPhone. Just saying.”
Another Redditor took things to another level and asked, “Could this be an example of the technological and medical advances that the elite have access to?”
“I have heard the rumors myself as a researcher.
“Or is it an example of higher dimensional travel???”
But many others dismissed the ridiculous claims, suggesting the object was a cigarette case or a juice box.
One person said the “cell phone” looked a lot like a Kodak 110 camera – a film camera introduced in 1972.
Another said: “I mean it’s weird but if someone actually had a phone and was making a video I think the people behind her would freak out and be like what the hell is that!?!
“There were no cell phone towers back then, so the phone would be useless except for taking photos and videos.”
A third simply told Redditors: “It’s an old camera…”
Other historical images have caused a stir among time travel enthusiasts in recent weeks.
Conspiracy theorists became confused after spotting a strange feature in a photo from the 1940s that they say proves time travel is real.
The coastal photo shows a fleet of Brits escaping the reality of World War II with a day at the beach.
In the center of the image, a man in a brown suit can be seen glued to an object in his hand that looks suspiciously like a smartphone.
In addition to social media users questioning his outfit choice, they became embroiled in a fierce debate about what was on the guy’s mind.
He was quickly dubbed the “texting time traveler” after many pointed out that he looked like he was scrolling through a cell phone.
Crazy theories also started swirling about an ancient Greek tombstone after people spotted a woman using a laptop.
They claimed this was evidence that a time traveler took a portable computer back to the time the marble relief was sculpted in 100 BC.
It came after art fans were baffled by a woman “holding an iPhone” in an 1860s painting.
Another man was spotted with his thumb on what appears to be an iPhone in a 1930s mural of a scene from 17th century New England.
And Apple boss Tim Cook joked that he had found one of his company’s gadgets in a 350-year-old masterpiece in Amsterdam.
