We previously reported about Xiaomi’s update that will finally bring Android 15 to its users.
However, the rollout came with an older software version, HyperOS 1.1, instead of the long-awaited HyperOS 2, which was still exclusive to the Chinese market at the time.
The good news is that Xiaomi has finally started rolling out HyperOS 2 to the global version of the Xiaomi 14 series (via GSMArena).
The update package with a size of 6.3 GB and identified by version number OS2.0.4.0.VNCMIXM should now be available to all international users of the standard flagship model.

As previously reported by STechGuide, Xiaomi 14 users outside China received the stable Android 15 update a month ago.
It included a range of fixes and improvements, such as a better home screen layout, a smoother Recents menu, and adjustments to the Always-on Display on the lock screen.
But now users can enjoy the full offering of HyperOS 2, which brings three key innovations: HyperCore, HyperConnect and HyperAI, to deliver faster performance, smarter functionality and seamless integration within Xiaomi’s ecosystem.
However, how these innovations will work in practice remains to be seen.

The update should be available now for the Xiaomi 14, and a November rollout was also planned for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi 14T series and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4.
This month, the update will be extended to devices such as the Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Xiaomi 13T series and other models, with more devices to be updated in the first half of 2025.
In the meantime, check out what Samsung’s One UI 7 is expected to offer as another highly popular Android 15 overlay.
