CHICAGO – Detectives have released surveillance video of an armed robbery crew that robbed three businesses in less than 90 minutes earlier this month. The investigators hope that someone will see the images and help them identify the perpetrators.

All robberies occurred early on December 6. The CPD said four men, dressed all in black and brandishing handguns, forced employees to open cash registers and take cash. The group, traveling in a gray Kia Sorrento, also robbed a customer at one of the locations and punched an employee of another business in the face, police said. There was always at least one crew member at the door as a lookout.

CPD said the robberies occurred on:

  • 7-Eleven, 2600 North Lincoln in Lincoln Park, at 2:21 a.m.
  • 7-Eleven at 3005 North Pulaski in Avondale at 3:43 AM
  • Subway, 3207 West Diversey at Logan Square, at 3:46 AM

The video, which we have included below, shows the robbers robbing the Subway restaurant and one of the convenience stores. Anyone with information can contact detectives at 312-746-7394 or 312-744-8263 about crime pattern #24-CWP-059 .

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had become discouraged by the inaccurate information presented during local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has since expanded to Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original public safety reporting with better context and more detail than mainstream media. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
