Gavin Wood Signals Next Steps for Polkadot’s Revolutionary JAM Protocol at Sub0 Reset

November 4, 2024 – London, United Kingdom

WebZero has announced full agenda for his conference Reset sub0inviting developers, investors and innovators to join Polkadot founder Dr. Gavin Wood to join – together with industry leaders from Parity and the Web3 Foundation – to work on building JAM (Join-Accumulate Machine), a new paradigm that paves the way for writing and securing Web 3.0 applications.

The three-day event, from November 9 to 11, 2024 in Bangkok, will celebrate the Polkadot ecosystem’s most exciting innovation taking Gavin Wood’s visionary JAM chain project to the implementation phase and showcasing the most innovative projects on Substrate.

JAM takes Polkadot’s current architecture to a new level of flexibility, where Polkadot cores can be used for any verification task whether it concerns smart contracts or sovereign blockchains maximizing the potential of the cores.

It attempts to provide a real solution to the dilemma between scalability and coherence in Web 3.0.

Sub0 Reset starts with a special education day. Participants can learn from industry greats like Polkadot founder Robert Habermeier and Avail’s Anurag Arjun and take part in deep substrate-focused barcamp dives.

Day two is ‘modularity day’, with discussions from leading innovators at Avail, R0gue, Midnight and Parity Technologies.

Day three is “JAM and Scalability Day,” which builds on Polkadot founder Gavin Wood’s vision to transform the ecosystem into the world’s first global computer.

The location’s 24/7 hackerspace gives new teams the chance to collaborate and compete for $10,000 in prizes.

Fabian Gompf, CEO of the Web3 Foundation, said:

“Sub0 Reset is the best opportunity for global developer talent to come together and stay informed about the groundbreaking innovation happening across the Substrate and Polkadot ecosystems.

“From network updates and milestones to parachains, solochains and all-day coverage [JAM]Sub0 Reset is an important step in making progress on Polkadot.”
