US President Joe Biden’s approval rating has fallen to the lowest level of his presidency, reaching 40%, a US media poll showed on Sunday.
The poll found that 57% of respondents do not approve of Biden’s performance as US president. Additionally, the poll found that only 33% favor Biden’s foreign policy, down 8 points from September, while 62% of voters, including 30% of Democrats, say they are dissatisfied with the way the president handles foreign policy.

The opinion of voters was largely influenced by the US president’s approach to resolving the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the poll said. Biden’s weakening position is most noticeable among Democrats, most of whom believe Israel has gone too far in its fighting in the Gaza Strip. Dissatisfaction is highest among voters aged 18 to 34, 70% of whom disapprove of Biden’s policies on the conflict, the poll found.
Moreover, for the first time in a hypothetical head-to-head between Biden and former US President Donald Trump, the latter was ahead of Biden in the NBC News poll, receiving the support of 46% of respondents, while 44% favored the incumbent president.
The survey was conducted from November 10 to 14 and surveyed 1,000 people.
